1:1 yoga nidra potion

1:1 yoga nidra sessions for high-achieving & creative humans longing for a permissive space to turn off effort mode & simply exist — without judgment, expectations, or striving for perfection

Quick question for all the fellow restless humans in the room that wish to resist the urge to always *do do do* & *go go go*:

If there was a way to rest consciously, so that your down time would feel…

💜welcoming & accepting,

💜cozy, safe & kind,

💜poetic, vibrant & spacious…

How often would you grant yourself permission to chill?

🍷 I love to read, learn (mostly by indulging in online courses) and then have intellectual-ish discussions over red wine about what I have read and learnt. Understanding humanity on the level of logic and making sense of the world in this way feels deeply comforting and it makes me feel like I belong.

But when I spend all of my time on reading, learning and thinking, my head starts to feel all buzzy & hot and my feet start to feel cold 🥶 (even in the summer).

I want to take a step back. But oh my, all of my big visions are making it hard to stop and rest. I feel like all of my ideas are the most important and that everything, from cleaning my fridge, to washing my socks, to writing a book, EVERYTHING is a PRIORITY right now.

Deep breath in. Siiiigh it out. A little bit more.

Maybe you can relate?

If you’re like, “Nastja, I soooo relate,” I want you to trust that…

💗 you are held and supported,

💗 you are allowed to protect your energy, and

💗 the waves of your process make sense.

Yoga nidra is a state where time slows down to match your pace. Ambition and holding beautiful, bold visions in your mind is sexy. But it’s easy to get so lost in where we want to be and forget that the place we’re in is already quite magical.

If you are looking for a space to balance out the logic & rationality, welcome.

Fill your cup with sparks, courage and benevolence, and be the main character of your own practice with…

Testimonials

“I was at another one of those crossroads in life–found myself in the middle of a hurricane, grief and trauma because of a torn ACL (for the third time!!). I didn’t know what else to do in order to get better. And then you showed me there’s nothing to do, what’s mostly needed is acceptance, returning back to the gentleness of femininity and allowing the body to rest and heal.  ” –Živa

Here’s what’s going down in the nidra potion laboratory...

  • 4 zoom sessions, 60 minutes each

  • 4 audio recordings of our co-created nidras you get to to keep forever

  • you get to bring in words, phrases and images that resonate

  • live music played by yours truly to accompany the words

At each zoom session, the co-creation moves in three phases:

  • laying the ground with conversation and co-regulation (15 minutes)
  • 30 (ish) minute yoga nidra
  • time for reflections and grounding (optional–could be 2 min, 5 min or anything up to 15 minutes)

Our first step: plant the seeds from which the nidra will grow

My only question for this convo is: “How can I serve you today?”

Here, you can share anything you feel comfortable with, maybe a certain word, a phrase or an affirmation that feels resonant that day, or in that phase in your life. We also explore if you want me to include some instruments in the practice and decide if you want me to bring your attention back to the present moment after nidra, or wish to stay asleep.

Next up: We dive into the practice that follows as a response to our conversation.

I decide on the structure on the spot (or we can decide together, if you particularly like certain elements. I always dedicate time and space into prepping the body and the mind to relax, I guide your awareness around the body and then I bring you back (unless decided differently in our initial talk). Other elements I could include are also visualizations, words of affirmation, or/and breath awareness.

Lastly, we’ll close our container with reflections, questions, feedback and grounding.

The audio recording of the practice is sent to you in 24 hours after the end of our meeting.

Co-created nidra for you to ✨ be the main character of your practice ✨

I’m biiiiiig on collaboration & centering you in your own experience to allow for you to choose what’s best.

AND, my main priority is that this is not one of those situations when “you can be anything” and then you feel overwhelmed because making decisions is stressful.

You get to co-create your practice by:

  • bringing in words that matter (only share what you feel called to share), can be a specific word or just a feeling, concept, or an image,
  • deciding on what sounds feel cozy,
  • choosing your position of rest and having the freedom to change it at any time, and by
  • deciding if you want to wake up afterwards or fall asleep.

Ultimately, the co-creation element is here to make sure you are always able to honor yourself and stay present with what the body is communicating to you about what kind of support you need and what would make you feel safe & grounded.

“Be the main character of your practice” means I don’t just try to squeeze you into a framework that has worked for me. This offering is designed to prioritize self-determination: a process of applying autonomy, freedom, agency, & control in your practice (and life).

A note on control: The biggest takeaway from my own nidra practice is that yoga nidra holds space for contradictions & opposing feelings or experiences to coexist. I want you to know you are always in control of your practice AND at the same time, you get to let go and be held.

Hey babe! I’m Nastja.

I teach trauma-informed lyrical yoga nidra for grounded humans who want to embrace their body’s ever-changing needs, so they can unapologetically honor, trust, and co-exist with their outer & inner worlds.

When Rupi Kaur wrote: “I learned to plant seeds in the ground and expect flowers the next day,” I felt that. I like to think of yoga nidra as a keeper of irrationality, where we get to play, escape, daydream and imagine.

Being a high-achiever and a highly creative person myself, I often find myself impatient, in a hurry and nervous (not very a yoga-teacher-y image, but it is what it is). Yoga nidra is so close to my heart because it has taught me how to slow down and showed me that I get to move at my own pace and still be bold & powerful  (never wanna give that part of myself up lol). ⚡️

Before we go any further, I need you to know:

Yoga nidra is a naturally arising state within all humans that you have almost 100% already experienced in some way. It’s that liminal space between awakeness and sleep, when you are slowly drifting off into a dreamland.

💗 The capacity to experience this liberatory process of resting in freedom already exists within you! 💗

Therefore, it is everyone’s practice. And you cannot do it wrong. There is no “doing” in yoga nidra, there is nothing to do at all.

With this in mind:

  • All of my work is rooted in choice, consent, and collaboration.

  • I don’t believe in hierarchy.

  • I respect you as the expert on yourself and trust you to always make the choice that is most supportive for you.

  • I don’t offer a safe space, only you can know what’s safe for you. I hold a space that is bold, strong and brave and my wish is for you to be able to connect to that internal feeling of safety inside of this container.

You’ll walk away with a custom-made nidra potion that…

  • relaxes your nervous system & calms down your mind,

  • serves as a soft support to aid in healing in other areas in your life (for example injuries or chronic pain),

  • grounds you in yourself and your day to day,

  • allows for restful states of consciousness to arise naturally,

  • inspires your creativity, and

  • holds space for contradictions & opposing feelings or experiences to coexist.

Not sure if yoga nidra potion is something for you?

It might be a great fit if you…

  • desire a custom, made-for-you type of horizontal meditative practice,
  • are loving life, but having trouble slowing down & taking a breath,
  • hold many exciting visions in your mind (and some may contradict others), and are looking for a container where they can coexist all at once,
  • long for a more gentle way for personal and spiritual growth to occur, and
  • are looking for a simple practice that would nourish every aspect of your being.

You might want to consider other options if you…

  • are experiencing mental-health symptoms that are making it close-to-impossible for you to function,
  • just the idea of being more or less still for 30 (ish) minutes makes you feel buzzy (in a bad way), and/or:
  • don’t enjoy co-creating your practice and prefer pre-recorded meditations where you don’t have to decide on anything yourself.

FAQ

Mindfulness-curious artistic souls, mostly. But I have also worked with people who don’t neccessarily fall into that category. If you feel curious about this offering but are not sure if it would benefit you, feel free to reach out at hello(at)nastjasinovec(dot)com and we can have a chat about it.

Trauma-informed may sound both buzzword-y and confusing at the same time, but the basic premise of this work is recognizing the prevalence and impact of trauma. It means having skills and tools in recognizing that trauma is all around us (side note: also recognizing that  not everything is trauma) & committing to practices that are reducing harm and promote internal safety + collective healing.

It does not mean I address or respond to trauma in any form! Yoga is NOT a substitute for therapy!

You schedule the calls at the time that suits you.

While those certifications are great and all, they do not make me an expert in any sense of the word. They do not mean you should trust me. Question me, challenge me and always search for ways to ground in your body and rely on your intuition as the ultimate authority!
